Where the rivers Schiltach and Kinzig meet, the small romantic town Schiltach is located with its dreamy narrow streets and its picturesque corners. Schiltach is also known for the gorgeous half-timber framed houses surrounding the triangular marketplace and is a real jewel of the Black Forrest.

With 4000 inhabitants, at an altitude of 300 – 842 m, Schiltach is situated at a road installed 2000 years ago by the Romans and offers lots of sights to discover.

Several museums, for example, museum of old pharmacy, Hansgrohe Shower World, historic railway construction, the so-called “hintere Städtle”, carefully restaured relicts of timber rafting on the river Kinzig.

Schiltach ist a special place to be. You will take it to your heart. That’s a promise.
